Stainless steel stirring tank is mainly used in the food and pharmaceutical industries for mixing and mixing materials. The tank body of the stainless steel stirring tank is welded by stainless steel, mainly SUS304 or SUS316L (note: the corresponding new grades of similar domestic stainless steel are: 06Cr19Ni10 or 022Cr17Ni12Mo2). What is the appropriate standard for the wall thickness of the stainless steel mixing tank, many customers may not have an idea, but the wall thickness will definitely affect the price of your purchase, but how to judge how much wall thickness you need?
When purchasing equipment such as stainless steel pneumatic stirring tanks, the wall thickness is appropriate
Due to the different production processes of different products and the different materials to be processed, the design requirements and configurations of the mixing tank are also different.

1. Design according to the pressure of the stirring tank. The wall thickness of different pressure stirring tanks is also different. If the stirring tank is atmospheric, usually the wall of the stirring tank only needs 3mm enough; In the case of a pressure-resistant tank, the thickness needs to be increased according to the actual pressure.
2. Adjust according to the heating method. If it is an electrically heated stirring tank, there is no pressure in the jacket, so the wall thickness of the jacket of the stirring tank is usually about 3mm; If the jacket is heated by steam, the wall thickness needs to be increased according to the pressure; If the pressure is too high, the jacket can also be selected according to the pressure of Miller plate, coil, hollow jacket, etc.
3. Choose according to the agitator. In the case of conventional paddle agitators, the wall thickness of the tank jacket usually does not need to be increased. If the agitator is changed to scraping the wall, the wall thickness needs to be increased. Of course, it also needs to be adjusted according to the actual volume of the tank.
To sum up, when the customer orders the mixing tank, the wall thickness of the mixing tank can be increased or decreased according to the pressure, agitator and volume of the mixing tank.
