Working principle and characteristics
Pneumatic diaphragm pump is a kind of positive displacement pump, powered by compressed air, the volume changed by diaphragm reciprocating deformation, so the air powered diaphragm pump has the following characteristics:
(1) No overheat: compressed air as power, the temperature will not rise, no harmful air discharge.
(2) No electrical spark: the pneumatic double diaphragm pump does not use electricity for power, and prevents electrostatic sparks after grounding.
(3) Liquid containing particles can be passed: because of the working principle of positive displacement and the inlet is a ball valve, it is not easy to be blocked.
(4) The shear force on the material is very low: the agitation of the material is minimal, suitable for the transportation of unstable substances.
(5) The flow can be adjusted, a throttle valve can be installed at the air source inlet to adjust the flow.
(6) Has the function of self-priming.
(7) It can run without load ,but no danger.
(8) Can work underwater.
(9) A wide range of materials can be transported, from low viscosity to high viscosity, from corrosive to dangerous fluids.
(10) No complex control system, no cables, no fuses, etc.
(11) Small size, light weight, easy to move.
(12) No lubrication is required, so the maintenance is simple and will not leak and pollute the working environment.
(13) The pump can always maintain efficient operation and will not be reduced because of wear.

Neoprene
Neoprene is widely used in non-corrosive applications. With long life and low cost characteristics; Temperature limit: -17.7 ° C to +93.3 ° C, 0°F to +200°F
Buna-N (Nitrile butadiene rubber)
Nitrile rubber is mainly used in petrochemical and oil-containing liquids, with good elasticity and good life. Temperature limit: -12.2 ° C to +82.2 ° C, +10°F to +180°F
Nordel (EPDM) rubber
Excellent for use at extremely low temperatures. It can also be used as a cost reducing alternative to acid and alkaline fluids medium. Temperature limit: -51.1 ° C to +137.8 ° C, -60°F to +280°F
Viton (fluorinated rubber)
Fluorinated rubber is used at extremely high temperatures and has a good effect. Can be used in some acid and alkali products. But the cost is high and the lifespan is short. Temperature limit: -40° C to +175.7 ° C, -40°F to +350°F
Troubleshooting
Pump is running but the flow is too low
1. Check whether the small air diaphragm pump body cavitation phenomenon, adjust the inlet air pressure. Reduce the speed of the pump to adjust the big viscosity and concentration liquids.
2. Check whether the valve ball is stuck. If the delivered liquid does not match the material of the valve ball. The valve ball will expand. Replace the ball and seat with the appropriate material.
3. Please check whether the inlet pipe is blocked.
4. Check whether the joint of the pump inlet is completely locked without leakage, especially the clamp near the valve ball at the inlet end needs to be locked.
Small air operated diaphragm pump can not start or operate slow
1. Check whether the FRL(filter, pressure regulation, lubrication) and the air inlet filter are blocked.
2. Check whether the valve is stuck by impurities, please remove the valve and clean it, and check whether the piston in the valve worn out and need to be replaced if necessary.
3. Check the spindle and "O" ring for scratches, wear and flattening marks, if there is damage, please replace.
Liquid leaks out from the exhaust outlet of the air chamber
1. Please check whether the diaphragm is broken.
2. Check whether the diaphragm is correctly installed and locked.
Outlet liquid contains a large number of bubbles
1. Please check whether the diaphragm is broken.
2. Check whether the pump body and pipeline leak.
