An air motor, also known as an air motor, is a device that converts the pressure energy of compressed air into rotating mechanical energy. Commonly used vane, piston and geared vane air motors use axial vanes, which are mounted in slots on the motor's shaft, and the pressure of the compressed air in the inner chamber acts on the blades, causing them to rotate and the compressed air moves from one chamber to another. The air motor rotates with the rotation of the blades.

 

The cylinder and the piston or slide make up the piston motor, and air enters the cylinder containing the piston, and pressure acts on the pistons, causing them to slide outward. This force causes the shaft to rotate, which creates the torque to turn the air motor.


The workshop of the geared air motor is made up of a pair of gears, compressed air is fed from the center of symmetry, and the gears rotate under the action of pressure, thus driving the motor to rotate.

 

The toughness and versatility of air motors make them an ideal power source to replace hazardous locations where electric motors are not suitable.
