Air Gearmotors

The relationship between torque, speed and power is as follows: ‌

power (P) = torque (T) x speed (N) / 9549‌.

Or torque (T) = power (P) x 9549/speed (N)

Where,

P = Power at working point (in watt or kW)

T = Torque at working point (in Nm)

N = Speed at working point (in r/min or rpm)

 

Example:

A Non-reversible motor is required to run at 200 r/min and produce

A torque of 10 Nm. Selection of correct motor size is as follows:

Power required (W) = 10 x 200/9549 = 209watt(0.209kW)

 

This formula describes the relationship between the three key parameters of torque, speed and power in a mechanical system. Torque is a description of the amount of torque experienced by an object when it rotates, usually expressed as Newtonian meters (Nm); Rotational speed is the Angle of rotation of the object per unit time, usually expressed as the number of revolutions per minute (rpm); Power is the rate at which work or energy is converted per unit of time and is usually expressed as watts (W) or kilowatts (kW).

 

Pressure regulator for air pressure motor

It is recommended to add a air pressure regulator to the compressed air lines. This can be adjusted to meet the required working pressure and can be used to change the output of the air motor to meet different needs of applications.Also it is a necessary to adjust the air pressure in a reasonable range to protect air lines and all pneumatic motor types.

 

When choosing a FRL set(Filter,Regulator,Lubricator), ensure that all parts size is big enough to provide sufficient air flow,so the pneumatic rotary motors can work with a ideal performance.

A filter helps ensure efficient operation by removing solid(larger than 5 microns) and liquid contaminants before they enter the air motor.
