Sealant (English name: sealant) is also known as sealant; Sealing material. It is a high-grade material as the matrix, which is deformed with the shape of the sealing surface, not easy to flow, and has a certain degree of cohesiveness. It is a material that can prevent the invasion of external impurities and the leakage of internal substances in the static bonding parts of various machines, and has good sealing properties. It is divided into two categories: bonded and non-bonded. The adhesive type is divided into elastic type, hot melt type and anaerobic type; The non-adhesive type is divided into dry fixation type, dry peel type, semi-dry viscoelastic type and non-dry adhesive type. It has the functions of anti-leakage, waterproof, anti-vibration, sound insulation, heat insulation, etc. It is usually made of dry or non-dry viscous materials such as asphalt, natural resin or synthetic resin, natural rubber or synthetic rubber as the base material, with inert fillers such as talc, clay, carbon black, titanium dioxide and asbestos, and then added plasticizers, solvents, curing agents, accelerators, etc. Civilian products, such as the cap sealant of common containers, are limited to sealing at room temperature (or high use temperature) and pressure, and the sealing surface is small. It is widely used in the sealing of chemicals, machinery, construction, transportation, electronic instruments and parts. The use conditions are high temperature, high pressure, contact with various solvents, acids and alkalis and other corrosive media, large sealing area, long service life, the requirements for the performance of sealants are much higher, and there are many varieties and categories of sealants, which cannot be listed one by one. A high-temperature and high-pressure curing sealant is commonly used in chemical plants.
